My Story
I have not always been a genealogist.
In my earlier professional life I was a technologist, leading the development of new products and services in the growing digital industries from the 1980s until the 2010s. With the passing of years, and the development of online digital resources, I was able to apply the skills I had learned along the way to collect, process, and analyse information about my family's history.
Like every family history researcher, my interest in genealogy started from the small seedlings that my parents unknowingly planted. We all assume that our ancestry was a simple affair of generations living and working in the same area, or a few neighbouring areas. As my parents grew older and reminisced more I learned from them that my family history stretched much further afield with grandparents, only one of whom had I ever met (but that is another story), from Ireland, Scotland, London, and Palestine.
I can trace my growing interest in family history research to this realisation. And my commitment to rigorous research and analysis, as well as to customer satisfaction, to my earlier career.
After I retired I established The Tree Sleuths in 2019, as a professional local business dedicated to providing exceptional genealogy and family history research services.
The Tree Sleuths' commitment to customer satisfaction permeates all aspects of every customer project. Contact The Tree Sleuths today to learn more about what I can do for you.
The Tree Sleuths business is based in Cambridgeshire. Although a large, and growing, amount of genealogy and family history information can be found online, even greater quantities remain stored in archives across the country and the rest of the world.
I search for and locate evidence that answers your genealogy challenge, and present what it means as a professional, documented, genealogical record of your ancestors and where they lived.
I research in archives, especially those in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, and London, and also use national and international online resources in my work.
